The following tricks works  for both mobile phones and computer on bsnl india by changing the 3G Connection settings initially provisioned for 3G sim. Note: GPRS or 3G should be activated in your mobile phone

1. Connection Name :3G free(any name)

3. Service Type 1 = WAP

4. Gateway IP  1 or Proxy address= 10.100.3.2

5. Proxy Port no : 1=: 9209.

6. Timeout= NEVER

7. CSD No.1

8. User Name1= ppp

9. Password1= ppp123

10. APN setting= wapwest.cellone.in

11. User Name = ppp

12. Password = ppp123

13. leave other settings as default

14. browse at a speed of about 3mbps

15. Download with amazing 3G speed

Here is a new trick to get free 3g on bsnl without any recharge. for non 3g phones and devices you will get the 2g speeds too. the trick is quite simple, all you need to do is create a new apn with proxies. the trick is working in south india and has been checked. so try this, if you are lucky you will get free 3g data on bsnl

Step by step guide to activate free 3g on bsnl

Create a new apn settings in the phone ( in the modem dashboard for modem users). give it any name.
in the APN enter access point as  gprssouth.cellone.in
now go to the advanced settings and change the proxy settings
proxy is 192.168.87.163 and enter the port number as 8080

You are done, now enjoy using free 3g data on bsnl as long as it works. also remember to keep the balance on the sim above 5 rs.
